14 Nothing to report Journalists today would never allow themselves to be fobbed off with the bland remark that there was nothing to report, as was sometimes the case in the past. Immediately after a Federal Council meeting, Vice Chancellor and Fed- eral Council Spokesman André Simonazzi briefs the media on the key decisions. He chairs the press conferences and is usually accompanied by one or more Federal Council members, who comment on ‘their’ items of business and field journalists’ questions.
