6 Coming and going The Federal Chancellery employs around 250 people. The proportion of women is high at all levels of the organisation, as is the educational level. The work is chal- lenging and requires a high degree of flexibility and commitment from employees. The Federal Chancel- lery considers itself to be a modern employer, offering staff various working time models, good further training opportunities and indi- vidual career planning. Employee satisfaction is assessed regularly by an independent institute, and the necessary conclusions are drawn. Staff turnover is average, not least because the Federal Chancellery has a very good reputation as an employer.
